Overview
This course is aimed at all staff working in the care environment who work with older people with dementia. A general understanding of the issues associated with Dementia will be established. Attendees will gain under-pinning knowledge of the below issues and therefore will be able to put this into practice where necessary.

- Overview of Dementia, including prevalence and causes
- The signs and symptoms of dementia
- Important early indicators
- The three stages of dementia
- Diagnosis and treatment of dementia
Assessment:
The course is delivered in 3 hours and Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along interaction of group activities.

SPECIAL OFFER- If two, three hour care sector courses are run on the same day at the same venue then the cost is £500+VAT (Usually £325+VAT per course). This could be two of the same courses or a combination of two different ones.
