This course will provide candidates with an awareness of their roles and responsibilities with regard to preservation of a person’s liberty whilst at the same time protecting a person’s best interests to ensure compliance with legislation. This course is suitable to those working within the Social Care Sector and covers the below.
Outline of Programme
The course covers:
- Key areas of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Defining Deprivation of Liberties
- Managing and Supervising Authorities
- Advocacy
- How to identify those at Risk
- Roles & Responsibilities of the Care Worker
- Dealing with Challenges and Emergencies
Assessment:
The course is delivered in 2 hours and Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities.
