Overview
This course is designed to provide an introduction into the responsibilities in observation and the legal requirements of accurate reporting. It is relevant to people who provide personal care to clients in care settings

Outline of Programme

On completion of the course, delegates will understand:

  • The use and purpose of each record or report the worker has to use or contribute to
  • Demonstrate the ability to make written records that are legible and readable
  • The responsibility of workers to report anything that worries them in the work environment

The syllabus includes:

  • Why are observations important
  • How do we observe
  • Analysing behaviour 
  • Developing patterns
  • Subjective and objective record keeping
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Relevance and 'KISS' principle
  • Audit

Assessment:
The course is delivered in 2 hours and Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities.
