CITB - Site Management Safety Training Scheme
Course Overview:
What is SMSTS? This CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course enables delegates to understand the legal, moral, social and welfare responsibilities under the candidates management on sites and gives guidance on how to manage the health and safety on site in accordance with current legal requirements.

- Confined Spaces
- Combination of group/individual projects and a multiple choice assessment paper taken on the last day.
Assessment:
What is SMSTS assessment? The SMSTS course is covered in 5 days and it is mandatory for the candidate to attend all 5 days in sequential order. This course can be carried out in a 5 day block or 1 day a week over a 5 week period with each day being approx 7 hours and typically starting at 8am. This course is classroom based. On successful completion of the course a 5 year nationally recognised CITB SMSTS certificate will be awarded.

Renewal:
After 5 years a 2 day Renewal course can be taken but the candidate must provide a copy of their current and valid 5 day CITB SMSTS certificate as proof to be eligible to attend.
Important Information
Each candidate must Supply all PPE Including Full Body Harness and Restraint Lanyard (in accordance with the IPAF Technical Guidance Note H1/05/05)
This course can only be carried out at one of our recommended centres due to needing access to a Beavertail and Slide Bed Transport Vehicle
