Emergency First Aid Awareness

We are able to offer a half-day emergency first aid awareness course to meet your organisations individual first aid requirements and adjust the course to meet your needs.

The course is designed to ensure that your staff are able to deal with emergencies until such time that the emergency service has arrived. It is also an ideal course to help keep your first aiders updated and also provides an opportunity for them to ask questions to their instructor and peers.

The syllabus includes:-

Managing Incidents
Basic Life Support
Control of Bleeding
Choking
Examination of a Casualty
Unconsciousness
Head Injury
Strain and sprains
Treating shock

Assessment:

The basic emergency first aid awareness course is delivered in 3 hours. Their tutor throughout the course will continually asses delegates. Upon Successful completion of the course the delegate will be awarded a certificate for Emergency First Aid Awareness

SPECIAL OFFER- If two, three hour care sector courses are run on the same day at the same venue then the cost is £500+VAT (Usually £325+VAT). These could be two of the same courses or a combination of two different ones.

The training venue should be quiet and undisturbed.
Staff should not be expected to be on duty
Staff attending should remain for the entire length of the session
