Overview
This course is designed to provide employees that handle open food the essential knowledge and understanding of good Food Safety Practice. The aim of this training course is to provide individuals with a fundamental knowledge of food hygiene and to enable them to apply this knowledge to essential practical skills in order to prevent food poisoning.


The course is in-line with the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995.

Outline of Programme
The course covers the following Food Hygiene issues:

  • Food Safety Hazards
  • Bacteriology
  • Prevention of contamination and food poisoning
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Premises, Equipment and Pest Control
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting
  • Legislation

Assessment:
The course is delivered in 2 hours and candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities.

SPECIAL OFFER- If two 3 hour care sector courses are run on the same day at the same venue then the cost is £500+VAT (Usually £325+VAT per courses) This could be two of the same courses or a combination of two different ones.
