Members of staff from the rail company First Hull Trains have been awarded new food safety qualifications after undergoing training courses.

First Hull Trains serves food and drinks to travellers who use its direct Hull to London services, and also sources local products to be served on board trains.

Like any other business which serves food, First Hull Trains needs to ensure that excellent standards of food hygiene, as well as health and safety, are maintained across all parts of the business. This is why members of staff including Zoe Welsh, Mary-Ann Tennison, Anthony Connoy, Gary Varney, Amanda Walton and John Dooley were sent on the three-day food safety training course.

The Head of Customer Service Delivery for First Hull Trains, Darren Fennah, said:

“I would like to express my congratulations to all the members of First Hull Trains staff who have gained their qualification in food safety; this demonstrates our commitment to food safety.

“First Hull Trains deem it essential to ensure that all members of staff are fully qualified to carry out their duties to ensure the highest level of quality and safety for all passengers.”
