Following a serious road traffic accident in Swansea, the family of a lorry driver who had a heart attack at the wheel is calling for the first aiders who helped the injured man at the scene to come forward. Yorkshire textile firm fined for health and safety breach

A textile firm based in the West Yorkshire town of Elland has been fined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) after one of its workers was crushed by a pallet. The firm, THS Industrial Textile Limited, was investigated after an 18-year-old employee was crushed by double-stacked pallets weighing more than a small car. Russian nightclub owner prosecuted following fatal fire

Following a tragic fire at a Russian nightclub which killed more than 150 people, the owner of the Perm city centre business has been found guilty of negligence. The fire, which took place back in December 2009 and caused the deaths of 156 people, was found to have been caused by sparks from a pyrotechnics show which set fire to wicker wall and ceiling coverings. Three Nottingham takeaways receive zero food hygiene ratings

Following a recent round of inspections undertaken by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), three takeaways in Nottingham have received food hygiene ratings of zero out of five. This zero star rating means that urgent improvements are needed before the business can continue serving food to the public. Takeaway owner admits breaching food safety laws

The owner of a takeaway in Weston-Super-Mare has admitted breaching food safety regulations, resulting in him being handed a large fine by the courts. 28-year-old Kawa Abdullah, the owner of Best Kebab and Pizza, was prosecuted after the takeaway was linked to a case of food poisoning. Bride saves wedding guest’s life using first aid skills

A quick-thinking bride managed to save the life of a guest at her wedding who collapsed on the dance floor, using the skills learned during first aid training to give him CPR. 24-year-old Kylie Cox, who had received first aid training whilst training to be a staff nurse, was dancing with the 28-year-old man at her wedding when he suddenly collapsed.
