CardiAid External Chest Compression Assistant
The CardiAid External Chest Compression (ECC) Assistant guides users to perform CPR at the correct rate and depth ensuring good quality and safe CPR during a rescue.
For a patient having sudden cardiac arrest, immediate CPR is critical since it supports blood circulation. A CPR cycle consists of 2 rescue breaths followed by 30 chest compressions. Most rescuers struggle to perform effective external chest compressions consistently since CPR is extremely tiring. By placing the CardiAid ECC Assistant on the patient’s chest, The LED indicators, a visual positioning guide and an audible metronome help the rescuer to achieve effective, safe chest compressions. It does this by analysing the density of the patient and guides the responder on how much force to apply according to the patient's weight category. The audible metronome signal indicates the required rate of compressions.
