Qcf Health & Social Care Level 4

The Level 4 QCF in Health and Social Care is the internationally recognised equivalent of a Higher National Certificate (HNC) and is the UK industry standard for those working with adults in a health and social care role. The programme equips delegates with a range of skills which will prove vital when supporting adults in social care settings, and they will also be able to customise the training to suit their specific role, with a series of optional units. Delegates who attend this course will be recognised for holding the skills and competence required to work with adults in a range of care environments, including domiciliary, residential and community care. Training is available via e-portfolio to ensure that delegates have greater flexibility when training and can learn at a pace to suit them.

Please note we do not offer this QCF for those working with Children or Young People.

The QCF is fully compliant with the Health and Social Care National Occupational Standards approved by Skills for Care and Development. This course is accredited by OFQUAL and will help your organisation to meet the conditions and standards required by the Care Quality Commission.

How does assessment take place?

The course assessment includes an evaluation of work-based performance, presentation of evidence, witness statements and peer testimony, and question and answer sessions. Delegates will need to put together a portfolio of evidence demonstrating that they can achieve the course objectives to the required standard.

To assist in this, course delegates are appointed an accredited QCF assessor who helps assemble their portfolio and guide them throughout the assessment. Email and telephone support is also on hand and course resources are provided when required.

What are the entry requirements?

TutorCare is an equal opportunities provider and a potential participant only needs to be aged 18+ and have been employed in a vocational setting relevant to the occupational standards for Health and Social Care in order for them to be able to complete the qualification successfully.

How long will it take?

The course is completely flexible and we encourage students to learn at their own pace. The awarding body do stipulate that the course is completed within 36 months, but most students will successful finish the programme in around 9!

How would I progress further?

Upon completing this programme, graduates can move on to QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care if they are in an appropriate management position. Alternatively we offer a huge range of specialist care courses to enhance their chosen pathway.
